Pro Europe - Packaging Recovery Organisation Europe s.p.r.l. seated in Brussels, came into existence in 1995 as a platform of experience exchange among European recovery organisations belonging to the Green Dot system. The assignment of Pro Europe is granting the Green Dot licence to national recovery organisations founded pursuant to the rules defined in European Directive 94/62.

At present, the licence for Green Dot usage is owned by 32 European countries and Canada.
